THE HUMANE WAY TO AGILITY
Kanban is a method to manage and improve knowledge work such as professional services, creative work, and the creation of physical as well as software products.
The Kanban method rests on visualizing what is otherwise often indefinable knowledgework to ensure services work on the right amount of work - work that was requested and is needed by the customer and for which the service is equipped to deliver.
To achieve this, we use a Kanban system – a flow system for service delivery that limits the amount of parallel work (also called "work in progress" or short "WIP") by using visual signals.
The mantra of Kanban is to "stop starting, and start finishing". Members of Kanban teams should participate in the "Team Kanban (TKP)" class, while project or team managers should take the classes "Kanban System Design (KMP-1)" and "Kanban System Improvement (KMP-2)."
